Our Junior Syndicate Polyfest by Martha Hill
"Yay, today is Polyfest!" I shouted with glee, as I jumped out of bed in the count of three.
I hurried down the drive so that it felt like I was touching air.
When I got on the bus Brooklyn and I laughed so much that the College kids had to cover their ears.
When we got to school we jumped into the next bus, and off we went. I felt like it was a whole day on that bus, but eventually we got there. We walked into the Stadium.
Suddenly it was our school's turn. I felt fine when we were looking at another school performing because you could see only the people who were seated at the rope.
But when I got on stage I looked down and saw so many people that I felt I was going to faint.
When the show was finished we hopped back on the bus and went to the museum, where we had our lunch. Suddenly a man walked in with a tuatara. Mrs Dudfield started calling out birthdays so we could take turns touching it. It felt really rough and smooth at the same time.
Then it was time to go. We climbed onto the bus again and drove away. It felt another whole day of my life.
When I got home I ran straight upstairs and face-planted on my bed.

We had some 'cute' visitors at school today.
This is Snow, he is a ferret. He is an albino, which means he is all white.
Snow is looking around to see if he can escape from his cage...
This is Billy the stoat. He is smaller than Snow, but we think he would beat Snow in a fight because he is so fast and fierce.
